biography

For 30 years I have worked as a session-touring guitarist and bassist. Chi-Lites, R. Kelly, share the stage with legendary artist such as Chi-Lites, R. Kelly, Najee, Stanley Jordan, and many others. During that time I also worked as a clinician, educator and journalist. As a recording artist for my own label Kenn Smith Music, I have written, produced and release six (6) CD's.

To this day my reputation continues to grow as one of the most diverse guitarist and bassist in the world. Admired by many for my eclectic versatility as a musician and composer in all styles of music notably Jazz,  Blues, Ambient and Progressive Rock.
